The Band
Formed in 2015 and based in Austin, the indie rock quartet Columns leans on a collective punk past to craft its unrushed brand of densely structured power pop. At times memorably melodic not unlike the best Cheap Trick tunes, Columns also references its roots in the hardcore punk scene as well as its deep fascination with the louder proponents of the UK shoegaze movement in the band’s collection of songs. Columns is: Richard (guitar/lead vocals), Roger (drums), John (lead guitar/vocals), and Ruben (bass/vocals).
